As children transition from the Tadpole classroom, the Butterfly program builds on that foundation with a new focus on independence, self-help skills, and cooperative play. Our bright, spacious classroom is designed to inspire curiosity at every turn.
Through an emergent curriculum rooted in play and hands-on exploration, we create an environment where children develop a genuine love of learning — following their interests while growing the skills they'll carry into the Dragonfly classroom and beyond.

Dramatic Play
A dedicated dramatic play center lets children explore roles, practice language, and develop social understanding through imaginative, child-directed play.
Science Exploration
Hands-on science activities spark natural curiosity and introduce early critical thinking and problem-solving skills through experimentation and discovery.
Manipulatives
Puzzles, blocks, and fine motor activities build hand-eye coordination, early math thinking, and the focused attention children need for school readiness.
Art & Creativity
Open-ended art experiences encourage self-expression, creativity, and individual choice — with no two projects ever exactly the same.
Sensory Table
Sensory play supports language development, fine motor growth, and early scientific thinking while giving children a joyful, tactile way to explore the world.
Independence & Cooperative Play
We actively build self-help skills and the ability to work alongside peers — laying the social and emotional groundwork for the Dragonfly classroom and Kindergarten.

Our emergent curriculum follows the children's lead. Teachers observe what sparks each child's curiosity — a question, an idea, a discovery — and build meaningful learning experiences from there.
This approach ensures that learning feels natural and engaging, while still building the critical skills children need: communication, problem solving, language development, and the social confidence to thrive.
